Concession stands, is the main type of store in China in the 1980s and 1990s. But nowadays, concession stands are being controlled by the government for reasons such as amenity and food safety, and are gradually disappearing from sight, replaced by convinience stores. But in those days of scarcity, the goods and the human touch of the concession stands were a source of joy for children.
I have visited many of the remaining concession stands and record them through photography.Later, I used these research results to design books and installation related to the concession stands, to record the disappearance of the concession stands and the beauty of the concession stands. Through these works, I hope to commemorate the sweet memories of childhood in the concession stands, and cause people to resonate and reflect.
